“Who says time heals all wounds? …Time heals everything – except wounds. With time, the hurt of separation loses its real limits. With time, the desired body will soon disappear, and if the desiring body has already ceased to exist for the other, then what remains is a wound, disembodied.”
The Quotation taken from Chris Marker’s “Sans Soleil” (1983) refers to the subtext of the short film Apart. This drama tells the story of a woman, who finds herself within a crisis around memory, loss and identity.
